How to measure a development launch in ten minutes a week

Published 7 Oct 2026 · ProMLS Realty

Most developers either look at nothing or look at everything. A launch can be followed with a short weekly routine if you know which number answers which question. This guide gives the funnel, the routine and what to expect.

The funnel, in five steps

  1. Impressions: how many times your pages appeared in Google (Search Console).
  2. Clicks: how many visits came from Google (Search Console).
  3. Visits to the development page and which section the visitor used (your site analytics).
  4. Contacts: WhatsApp taps and form submissions, each with the page they came from.
  5. Pipeline stage in your CRM: from new lead to visit to reservation.

Each step tells you where the leak is. Many impressions and few clicks is a title and description problem. Many clicks and few contacts is a page problem. Many contacts and no reservations is a follow-up problem.

What it looked like on a real portal

Condos Vallarta had 483 clicks and 13,172 impressions between 13 Jul and 6 Oct 2026. Weekly impressions went from 87 in the first full week to 3,346 in the last full week, and clicks in September were 94% above August (127 to 246). Source: Google Search Console, condosvallarta.com.

Growth was not a straight line: the first two weeks had no clicks at all.

The weekly routine, ten minutes

  1. Open Search Console and compare the last full week with the one before: impressions, clicks and average position.
  2. Look at the development page on its own, not the whole site.
  3. Count contacts by source: WhatsApp, form, each with its page reference.
  4. Check that every contact has an owner and a next step in the CRM.
  5. Write one line: what changed and what you will do about it.

What is noise

  • A single day. Look at full weeks.
  • The current, incomplete week. It always looks low.
  • Adding up page numbers. One search can show several of your pages, so per-page impressions add up to more than the site total. Use them as proportions.
  • The average position of the general terms. In our data they stay around position 50 while specific pages sit far higher.

What to expect

At 30 days, expect impressions and the first clicks on the development's own name. At 60 days, the page should begin to appear for its zone and type. At 90 days, you can judge the page by contacts, not only by traffic. These are stages to watch, not promises: results vary by project and market.

Next: a 90-day launch calendar and how to handle WhatsApp leads.
